Alfie Boe OBE is a world-renowned tenor and performer known for powerful vocals, award-winning roles, and a career that bridges opera, theatre and popular music.
Why I'm Doing This
Music has always been part of my life. It’s taken me across the world, introduced me to incredible people and allowed me to tell stories that matter. From theatres to television and major concert halls, I’ve seen the impact music can have. Supporting Pro Project Promotions gives me the chance to use that experience to do more. I want to encourage the next generation, open doors for young talent and use what I’ve built to help others find their path and their purpose.
Career Highlights
I started out working in a car factory, singing while fixing engines, and eventually found myself performing on some of the most well-known stages in the world. After training at the Royal College of Music and the National Opera Studio, I began performing in operas across the UK and Europe. Roles in La bohème, The Pearl Fishers and Don Giovanni helped me grow as a performer and gave me the foundation to take on new challenges.
One of the defining moments of my career came with Les Misérables, where I played Jean Valjean in the West End and later at the 25th Anniversary Concert at the O2 Arena. That performance connected with audiences on a huge scale and opened new doors in recording and touring.
Since then, I’ve released multiple solo albums, many of which have topped the classical charts. My ongoing partnership with Michael Ball has led to platinum-selling records, sold-out arena tours and major award wins. We’ve built something unique, combining musical theatre and classic songs with a fresh energy that continues to reach new fans.
I’ve performed with the likes of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, appeared at events including the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Festival of Remembrance, and sung on some of the UK’s biggest TV shows. Alongside performing, I’ve taken part in campaigns supporting mental health, veterans’ charities and music education, all of which are close to my heart.
Life Through Music
Over the years, music has given me focus, direction and a way to connect. I’ve seen how powerful it can be in tough times and how it can bring people together in moments of celebration or reflection. My aim now is to use that experience for good. Whether I’m recording, touring or supporting projects like this one, the goal is the same. To keep things moving forward, to back the next generation and to stay involved in work that has meaning.
