Why I'm Doing This

Football shaped who I am. From kicking a ball around in Cheshunt to playing in the Premier League and representing my country, it’s been a journey full of lessons. There were big moments, tough times, and everything in between. Now I want to use what I’ve learnt to help others find their own way, on and off the pitch.

Career Highlights

I came through the youth system at Arsenal and made my first Premier League appearance there. But it was at Blackburn Rovers where I really started to show what I could do and find my rhythm. That gave me the platform to move to Tottenham Hotspur, which was a huge step in my career.

I also played for a number of other clubs across England and abroad. Each one brought its own experience, challenges, and memories.

I also had the honour of playing for the England national team. Pulling on that shirt was a moment I’ll never forget.

Life After Football

Walking away from football wasn’t easy. It had been my whole world since I was a kid. But over time, I knew I needed something different. I’d lost the joy. I wasn’t enjoying it the way I used to.

Since retiring, I’ve focused on business, hospitality, and doing things that bring me balance. It gave me time to breathe, grow, and find a new sense of purpose.

The Challenges I've Faced

There were moments I got it wrong. Moments where pressure and expectation got the better of me. But I’ve learnt a lot from that. I’ve taken the knocks, picked myself up, and moved forward.

You grow through the tough times more than the easy ones. That’s just how life works.

The Support That Got Me Here

None of it would have been possible without the people who believed in me. Family. Mates. Coaches who gave me chances when I needed them. Their support kept me going, especially when things got messy.
